Seller: Laptop sales rocket 46% to 61.8 bln rbl in Jan–Jun
MOSCOW, Jul 9 (PRIME) -- Laptop sales in Russia soared by 46% on the year to 61.8 billion rubles and by 38% to 1.5 million units in January–June, mobile electronics retailer Svyaznoy said in a statement on Thursday.
“Online sales were the main driver of the market: Russians purchased every second laptop on the Internet. During the first six months of 2020 online sales of laptops spiked by 118% in units and by 120% in money,” Svyaznoy said.
The average price rose by 6% to almost 41,000 rubles. The average price in online sales was at 42,500 rubles.
Asus models were the bestseller, and the brand accounted for 25% of sales in cash and 23% in units. Acer followed with 20% and 19% and Lenovo came next with 22% and 18%, respectively.
